Cosmetics in Space

It is no secret that innovation is the key to success in the cosmetics industry. But how far are some inventors willing to go? A line of anti-aging products from Technology Applications International Corporation has been successfully developed in partnership with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). NASA’s bioreactor, which simulates microgravity (gravity that appears to have a small effect) was used to develop and create the new line of anti-aging products. The bioreactor takes advantage of rotational motion to simulate the artificial microgravity effects, which are similar to those experienced by astronauts in the International Space Station. This technology has already been used in the past by NASA to study biological cell growth in Outer Space. The effectiveness of the NASA developed anti-aging products are claimed to be very successful, with all of the clinical test participants showing facial skin improvements. The products carry an official NASA certified seal stating the products are “Space Certified”. There are already talks in place between NASA and other innovative cosmetic product inventors looking to get some time with the bioreactor to produce even more products. It appears that the future will see more cosmetic innovations that are truly “Out of This World”.
